EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS VR TRAINING APP

USA

  • The International Medical Corps (IMC) needed an efficient and scalable way to train their Emergency Medical Teams (EMTs) for rapid deployment in disaster zones. As the only NGO in the world to offer both fixed and mobile EMT Type 1 capabilities, IMC required a training solution that could dramatically reduce the time it took to prepare teams for action. The challenge was to create an immersive and practical tool that would streamline this critical training process.

  • As the Creative Director and Executive Producer, I led the development of a Virtual Reality (VR) training app designed to simulate real-world disaster response scenarios. The app allowed EMTs to experience the setup and operation of mobile medical facilities in a 360-degree virtual environment, providing hands-on training in a fraction of the time compared to traditional methods. This VR solution equipped teams with the skills to deploy rapidly and effectively in high-pressure situations, all within a safe and controlled virtual space.

  • The VR training app proved to be an invaluable tool for IMC, enabling quicker, more efficient training for their Emergency Medical Teams. By immersing trainees in realistic, high-stakes scenarios, the app helped reduce preparation time and ensured that teams were ready for deployment faster than ever before. This innovation contributed to IMC’s ability to respond swiftly to emergencies, enhancing their global disaster preparedness and response efforts.
